The Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA)  was established in 1920. The organization became Wisconsin Health and Hospital Association (WHA) in March 1996, reflecting its efforts to meet the ever-changing, broad-based needs of statewide health care providers.  The WHA website has a large amount of data that I believe is helpful to consumers choosing care providers.  Attached is the data comparing BirthWise Health and Birth Center outcomes with those of the local hospitals in 2013.  The data compiled further illustrates findings of a new study published in The Cochrane Library; “Maternity care that involves a midwife as the main care provider leads to several positive outcomes with no adverse effects for both mothers and their babies.”
